As the name suggests this anime is about a black book with instructions following which one can decide when, how and where to kill anyone. This books belongs to demons(shinigami) from hell who use it to kill human. However once a bored demon decides to roam around human world and drops his book from the sky found by Light Yagami a high schooled decides to use this book to create an ideal society free of criminals but turns into the most notorious criminal of all time. This anime is filled with a lots of emotions and hidden messages.
